Kindle DX ereader with global wireless now available

Kindle DX ereaderThe good news is that the new, bigger Kindle DX is now available in 100 countries!

If you already own a kindle or have read about them, you might be wondering how the Kindle DX differs from its predecessor the Kindle 2.

The main differences are as folows:

– display size is 9.7″ (24.6 cm) as opposed to 6″ (15.2 cm) for the Kindle 2 (click here for a visual comparison)

dimensions are 10.4″ x 7.2″ x 0.38″ (26.4 cm x 18.2 cm  x 0.97 cm) as opposed to 8″ x 5.3″ x 0.36″ ( 20.3 cm x 13.4 cm x 0.9 cm) for the Kindle 2

storage is much greater for the Kindle DX (3,500 books as opposed to 1,500 books for the Kindle 2, or 3.3GB vs 1.4GB available storage)

– the DX also has auto-rotation, which means that when you put it on its side the text also rotates so that you can still read it

– still incredibly light, but weighs 18.9 ounces (536 gr) as opposed to 10.2 ounces (289 gr) for the Kindle 2

– because of the differences in size and because of the auto-rotation feature the DX is more suitable for reading newspapers, blogs, magazines and PDFs

30 money back refund policy if returned within 30 days
